【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcovershigh-strengthlow-alloysteelplateintendedforuseintubularstructuresandpolesorinothersuitableapplications.Twogrades,60and65,maybeprovidedas-rolled,normalizedorquenchedandtemperedasrequiredtomeetthespecifiedmechanicalrequirements.1.2Theatmosphericcorrosionresistanceofthissteelinmostenvironmentsissubstantiallybetterthanthatofcarbonstructuralsteelswithorwithoutcopperaddition(seeNote1).Whenproperlyexposedtotheatmosphere,thissteelcanbeusedbare(unpainted)formanyapplications.Note1-Formethodsofestimatingtheatmosphericcorrosionresistanceoflow-alloysteels,seeGuideG101.1.3Whenthesteelistobewelded,itispresupposedthatweldingproceduressuitableforthegradeofsteelandintendeduseorservicewillbeutilized.SeeAppendixX3ofSpecificationA6/A6Mforinformationonweldability.1.4SupplementaryrequirementsinaccordancewithSpecificationA6/A6Mareavailable,butshallapplyonlywhenspecifiedbythepurchaserattimeofordering.1.5Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.
