【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversfunctional,operational,andsecurityrequirementsforpadlocks.Includedarefunctiondescriptions,operationaltests,forcingtests,andsurreptitiousentrytests.1.2Thisspecificationdescribesandgradesvariouslevelsofperformancetoprovideusersofthespecificationwithcriteriauponwhichtoselectsuitablepadlocks.1.3Testsdescribedarelaboratorytests,andalthoughtheysimulatefieldconditionsastoattacks,theydonotduplicatetheseconditions.Testsdescribedarerepeatableinthelaboratory.1.4Someusersofthisspecificationmaywishtousepadlocksthathavespecialattributesnotrelatedtosecurity.1.5Thisspecificationdescribesandgradesvariouslevelsofperformanceprovidedbylimiteddualcustodyoperation.1.6Thespecificpadlocksincludedhaveshacklesoflimiteddiameter,permittingattachmenttoexistingzipperslidesandzipperpullsandotherdevicesprovidedforclosure.1.7Thesepadlocksareconsideredx201C;privacypadlocksx201D;offeringlimitedprotectiontoforcedattacksimilartothatprovidedbytamper-indicativesecurityseals.Asuccessfulforcedattackwouldbeindicatedbythedamagedonetothepadlock.Forpadlocksofferinggreaterprotectiontoforcedattack,theuserisdirectedtoPerformanceSpecificationF883.1.8ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.9Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportions,Sections8-11,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
